Emmys 2013: 'The Colbert Report' breaks 'The Daily Show's' winning streak

Jon Stewart's show had won the award for a whopping 10 years in a row -- the last show other than "The Daily Show" to win in the category was "The Late Show with David Letterman" in 2002. The award will stay at Comedy Central, however -- the streak-breaker was none other than "TDS" companion show "The Colbert Report."

Host and executive producer Stephen Colbert was obviously tickled at the honor. "It's a cliche to say it's an honor just to be nominated -- but it's also a lie," he joked on stage.

"The Colbert Report" also won the Emmy for best writing for a variety series on Sunday, stopping a two-year "Daily Show" streak.
