Emmys 2013: Who should win best supporting actress and actor in a drama? Vote!

emmys-2013-drama-supporting.jpgIt's rarely a bad bet to pick a past Emmy Award winner to repeat his or her victory -- which could mean good things for Aaron Paul and Maggie Smith come Sept. 22.

What Zap2it wants to know, though, is less who you think will win and more who should win -- hence our first Emmy polls for the 2013 awards.

Paul ("Breaking Bad") and Smith ("Downton Abbey") won the awards for outstanding supporting actor and actress in a drama series in 2012. Smith has won for her role as the Dowager Countess two years in a row, in fact, but in 2011 "Downton" was competing in the miniseries/movie field rather than drama series. Paul won in 2010 as well, while Peter Dinklage of "Game of Thrones" won in 2011.

Dinklage is nominated again this year, along with Paul's "Breaking Bad" co-star Jonathan Banks, "Downton's" Jim Carter, Bobby Cannavale of "Boardwalk Empire" and "Homeland's" Mandy Patinkin (and his magnificent beard).

Smith's fellow nominees are "Breaking Bad's" Anna Gunn, Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones," Christine Baranski of "The Good Wife," Morena Baccarin of "Homeland" and Christina Hendricks of "Mad Men."

So who should get the pointy gold trophy? Vote below and sound off in the comments.
