The 66th annual Emmy Awards may not have been Ricky Gervais' night, but he had his moment to shine anyway. Gervais may have lost  Lead Actor in a Comedy Series to "The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons, but he still took the stage later in the night to present the award Outstanding Variety Special.

After ribbing Parsons for winning the award four years in a row, Gervais decided to share the acceptance speech he had prepared for the world and it was definitely worth it.

"Ha ha, I won. I knew I would because I'm the best actor. Better than those other actors, Parsons, Cheadle, H. Macy, Joey from Friends and Louie from 'Louie.' Look at their stupid faces. Thank you to the Emmy voters, who are never wrong."
Better luck next year Ricky, unless Parsons is up for the trophy one more time.
