We might still be a long way from the much-anticipated "Grey's Anatomy" Season 10 premiere, but hopefully this exclusive deleted scene off of the Season 9 DVD -- available Aug. 27 -- will help make the wait seem less torturous.

In Season 9's ninth episode, "Run Baby Run," one of Derek's (Patrick Dempsey) sisters volunteers to undergo surgery to give him vital nerves from her legs that he needs to regain the use of his hands that were injured in the Season 8 finale's plane crash. But since she's a Shepherd, she is no ordinary woman -- and thus, was no ordinary patient.

Meet Lizzie (Neve Campbell), a woman who practically owns the use of sarcasm and bitter resentment. She has no qualms about bashing her "god-like" brother to the other doctors who worship him, and putting Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) in her place since she never introduced their daughter Zola to the rest of Derek's family. In her own prickly way, she gets Meredith to realize that they need to start acting like a real family, with all the good and bad parts that come with it.

Check out this exclusive deleted scene on Zap2it from the episode that shows Lizzie Shepherd at her best ... or worst, depending on how you look at it:

The "Grey's Anatomy" Season 9 DVD is out Aug. 27, and Season 10 premieres Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
