'Fargo' to be developed for television? FX eyes North Dakota
Variety reports that FX is considering developing the Coen Brothers' 1996 film "Fargo" for series television. Though conversations are still in early stages, the black comedy might fit nicely into FX's current slate, which has had great success with dark fare like "American Horror Story."
The series would be produced by MGM Television, who have recently been revisiting films from their archives, such as "Teen Wolf," for television.
The film, starring Frances McDormand as a pregnant homicide investigator, earned seven Academy Award nominations. McDormand won Best Actress and Joel and Ethan Coen won Best Original Screenplay.
