First Lady Michele Obama partners on hip hop health album

Is Michelle Obama about to become America's next hip-hop star? Probably not, but the First Lady's "Let's Move" campaign is teaming up with a group of celebrity singers to produce a 19-track hip-hop album that promotes exercise and healthy eating.

And Mrs. Obama does appear in the first video from the album, "Everybody," sung by Jordin Sparks.

Alas, Obama does not provide any vocals for "Songs for a Healthier America." She is not actively involved with the project either, according to NBC News. The connection is through "Let's Move," an organization started by the First Lady in 2010. For the "Everybody" video, one of Obama's "Let's Move" public-service announcements is included.

Others associated with the project include Ashanti, DMC, Doug E. Fresh and Dr. Oz (who dances in the "Everybody" video).

Set to be released for free download on Sept. 30, the "Songs for a Healthier America" album will feature multiple music styles and titles like "U R What You Eat," "We Like Vegetables," "Veggie Luv" and "Get Up, Sit Up."

Maybe Michelle Obama will sing on the next health-conscious album.
