'Flowers in the Attic' sequel finds Kiernan Shipka's replacement: Rose McIver set for 'Petals on the Wind'

With the role of Cathy Dollganger being aged up in "Petals on the Wind," necessitating a casting swap for the too-young Kiernan Shipka, Rose McIver has been cast in the followup film, THR reports.

Though the 1980 V.C. Andrews novel picks up immediately after the events in "Flowers," Lifetime's adaptation will take place 10 years later, with Cathy and her surviving siblings Christopher and Carrie as young adults, trying to shake off their traumatic history.

Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn, who starred as mother Corrine Dollganger and grandmother Olivia Neworthy, respectively, are set to reprise their roles, as previously announced. Mason Dye, who starred as Christopher in the first film, will not be returning.

McIver's recent TV credits including recurring roles on "Once Upon a Time," as Tinker Bell, and "Masters of Sex."

Do you think McIver will make a good grown-up Cathy?
