Gary Collins arrested on suspicion of DUI. Um, who?
And it ain't the first time.
TMZ reports that Collins was busted on suspicion of DUI at the relatively early hour of 9:16 p.m. last night. The CHP stopped him just south of Montecito.
An early Super Bowl pre-party, perhaps?
Collins reportedly refused a field sobriety test but was subsequently given a blood alcohol test.
The former host of "Hour Magazine" and "The Home Show" was escorted to the Santa Barbara County Jail, where he was subsequently booked, then released. And probably embarrassed.
TMZ says Collins pled no contest to DUI about a year ago in an accident that caused the death of the other driver.
Collins wasn't prosecuted for manslaughter because the other driver was found to have caused the crash by making an illegal left.
But Collins was admittedly drunk. And he is still on four-year probation.
This means that if he was caught driving drunk again, he'll probably have to serve some jailhouse rock time.
Back in 2002, Collins was reportedly found not guilty of DUI in Mississippi, sez TMZ.
When will they learn, when will they learn?
If you're gonna drink, just stay home, Gary. Help make the world a safer place.
