'Fringe' 'Worlds Apart': Closing doors and broken heartsAdd to Favorites | Fringe
It was all about David Robert Jones' ( Jared Harris) plan to collapse the two universes and create a new one by using the Cortexiphan kids to start earthquakes with the power of their minds. The same cities were targeted in each universe and the gang realized that round three would destroy both of their worlds. The decision was made to collapse the bridge.
So many moments were heartbreaking in the episode. Olivia trying to get through to her childhood friend who had been manipulated by Jones and failing. The moment Lincoln decides to cross over. (Oh god, what does that mean for next season? There is only one Lincoln now. The bridge has to open again!)
There were two moments that really stood out though. Olivia and Fauxlivia saying goodbye. The earlier discussion about how Fauxlivia loved looking up after the rain to see rainbows, something that hasn't appeared for 20 years in the alternate universe. Olivia tells her to "keep looking up." There was no hug, but there didn't need to be.
The other gut-wrenching moment is the two Walters ( John Noble) on the floor, discussing Peter ( Joshua Jackson) and how much they care about him. We want to hear your predictions for the rest of the season. Will the bridge open again before the end of the season? How do you think they were going to end it all if the show hadn't been renewed? Let us know your thoughts.
