'Frozen' teaser trailer: Disney releases first look at new animated film

Something silly this way comes, in the form of Walt Disney Animation Studios' teaser trailer for their upcoming film, "Frozen."

The teaser clip, released Tuesday (June 18), focuses on a goofball snowman (Olaf, voiced by Josh Gad) and a reindeer named Sven, clumsily fighting over a slippery frozen pond for Olaf's misplaced carrot nose.

The trailer may not reveal any major plot points or characters, but its clear that the supporting cast will be funny. The film, loosely based on the fairy tale "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen, stars Kristen Bell as Anna, a "fearless optimist" who embarks on a journey to find her sister Elsa, the Snow Queen ( Idina Menzel), who's turned everything to ice in the kingdom of Arendelle.

Jonathan Groff lends his vocal talents to Kristoff, a mountain man who tags along on Anna's journey. Sven the reindeer is Kristoff's sidekick. Given Groff and Menzel's inclusion in the cast, it's fair to assume there's going to be some singing in Arendelle.

"Frozen" will cool down theaters in 3D on Nov. 27. Be sure to watch the trailer above.
