FX picks up 'Archer' for another season
The second season of the show, about the petty squabbles in the office of an international spy agency, will premiere in 2011. FX wants 13 episodes, up from 10 this season.
The show hasn't drawn big ratings -- it's averaging a little more than 1.2 million viewers per week. But that falls in line with the cable channel's other recent comedy launch, "The League" (1.3 million average in the fall) and is better than the first season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," which grew in later seasons as more people discovered it.
FX has one other new comedy on tap for later this year: "Louie," starring comedian Louis C.K., will premiere in June (it was recently moved back from a spring premiere). "The League" is also set for its second season in the summer.
