'Game Night' for Jimmy Kimmel; Keith Urban, John Mayer at 'Crossroads'
As it's done the past two years, ABC will air half-hour "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night" specials before each game of the Finals, which begin June 3. That means at least four and as many as seven chances for Kimmel to get somewhat wider exposure for his late-night show.
Deadline.com says Kimmel has already booked NBA stars Kobe Bryant and LeBron James -- though if Bryant's Lakers and James' Cavaliers meet in the Finals, they'll have to appear remotely.
- Keith Urban and John Mayer will team up for an episode of "CMT Crossroads" this summer.
The two singer-songwriters are the first artists to make a return appearance on the live-performance series. They'll collaborate on each other's songs -- the set features Urban's "If Ever I Could Love" and "Sweet Thing" and Mayer's "Gravity" and "Perfectly Lovely" -- and duet on a cover of George Michael's "Faith."
The episode is scheduled to air June 18.
- FOX has ordered a reality-show pilot called "Panic Attack" from "Hell's Kitchen" producer A. Smith & Co.
The show would have contestants facing crippling fears -- heights, enclosed spaces, scary animals, whatever, the showbiz trade papers report. Each episode would feature five people with the same issue and include support from family and friends and guidance from therapists Eva and Nik Speakman.
The Speakmans, who are married, have hosted a British series called "A Life Coach Less Ordinary" that attempted to help people fulfill long-held wishes.
