HBO viewers who use the Google Play digital storefront are in luck, because the network is finally selling limited selections of past seasons of its original series. "Game of Thrones," "Girls," "Boardwalk Empire," "The Newsroom," "True Blood" and "Veep" are among the shows that are now available for purchase on the digital application.

Six currently-airing HBO original series can be purchased on Google Play: "True Blood" Season 5, "Boardwalk Empire" Season 3, "Game of Thrones" Season 2, "Girls" Season 2, "The Newsroom" Season 1 and "Veep" Season 1. Also available is "The Wire" Season 5.

These seasons are all available on Google Play for the same price they would be found on iTunes. Single episodes can also be purchased in both standard and high definition. Additionally, Android users can download HBO Go for their smartphones and tablets.

Google says this is just the beginning of a new partnership with HBO. Expect to see new HBO content like shows, documentaries and movies available in the coming months. For the time being, this Google Play accessibility is only available in the United States.
