The actor who formerly played Eddard Stark (RIP) seemingly confirmed a huge fan theory about Jon Snow's parentage -- which is a pretty big spoiler for those who aren't tipped off to it.

While "Game of Thrones" makes it clear that there's a mystery about who Jon Snow's mother is, there is some speculation that Kit Harington's character isn't actually Ned Stark's bastard son at all. In fact, it's all but confirmed that it's Jon Snow's parents people should be trying to puzzle out, and Bean says exactly that in the new interview where he talks about potentially returning in Season 5 flashbacks.

"'I've definitely got some unfinished business that needs to be resolved there. I'm obviously not Jon Snow's dad. And you need that to be revealed at some point, don't you?" Bean asks Vulture -- a quote which should cause book fans to simultaneously combust in excitement. (R + L = J forever!)

Potential spoilers for Season 5 ahead: In "A Dance With Dragons," the book that Season 5 will be partially based on, Ned's son Bran is able to have visions into the past. In one such vision, Bran sees Ned praying at a weirwood tree and hears his father seemingly talking about the fact that Jon isn't actually his son. Bean says he would be interested in returning to film those scenes.

"So Bran would kind of be the one having the flashback, and he would see Ned praying, right? And revealing those things? You never know what those guys are going to do with that. It's got to be something special. But I'm into that. I certainly would be into that," he says. "Hopefully I'll get a call soon."

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 is expected to premiere in spring 2015.
