'Game of Thrones' Season 5: George R.R. Martin reveals spoilers on 'Conan'
"Game of Thrones" Season 3 hasn't even finished airing, but already George R.R. Martin is ready to skip Season 4 discussions talk about Season 5 -- sort of. The "A Song of Ice and Fire" author visited "Conan" and unveiled what he claims are some pretty major spoilers about what's coming up in future seasons of the series.
"I've been working on 'A Song of Ice and Fire' since 1991 and I think fans will be surprised about what's coming up," Martin says in the above video, which is allegedly leaked footage from the "Game of Thrones" Season 4 DVD commentary. "Joffrey adopts an adorable lion cub and learns the true meaning of Christmas. Next season, the dragons talk! After Season 4, we're doing a complete reboot with Daenerys Targaryen played by Zachary Quinto. Arya Stark discovers the ruins of the Statue of Liberty on the beach and realizes she was on Earth the whole time. Hodor."
He continues, "Jaime Lannister forms Kingslayer, the first heavy metal band in Westeros. The lords and ladies of Winterfell are saved by their long lost cousin, the creator of the Iron Throne, Tony Stark. Winter comes. It's not so bad. Cozy. Hodor. Oh crap, I was supposed to write more books?"
If only even one of these things was true! Unfortunately, as we've already learned, "Game of Thrones" isn't that type of show. If you want some real teases of what's in store for the HBO fantasy show, check out our list of 10 reasons to keep watching "Game of Thrones."
