game-of-thrones-showrunners-deals-hbo.jpgWorry not, "Game of Thrones" fans. The brutal adventures of the world of Westeros will be around on TV for some time to come.

HBO has secured a deal with the hit series' creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss to continue on as showrunners for two more season, Entertainment Weekly reports. The new deal keeps the duo with the show through a proposed Season 6, though the show has yet to be formally renewed for Season 5. This news comes on the heels of the pair admitting the endgame for the series is seven or eight seasons.

The complex drama, based on George R.R. Martin's bestselling novels, is the network's most-watched series of all time (averaging 14.3 million viewers in Season 3 across all platforms) and is only bested by "The Sopranos" at its most popular show of all time.

Season 4 of "Game of Thrones" premieres on Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
