Ready for a treat? A new trailer for
"Game of Thrones"
has come online, and it's the best of the bunch. It's also the one showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss cut together to tease the rest of the season at the Season 4 world premiere.
Yes, we're dealing with those levels of awesome here. There is so much epic footage that it's hard to highlight all of it, but here are the scenes that give us goosebumps:
The two scenes that feel out of context: The Iron Throne covered in snow? A dragon flying over King's Landing? These seem to be visions more than anything else, as winter has not yet arrived and Dany's dragons are not nearly big enough to make that kind of shadow. But are these a sign of things to come or a sign of what has come before? Whatever they are, we're obsessed.
Finally, finally, finally Daenerys is viewed as a threat: And it's about time too. If there's one major criticism that can be leveled at those in power in Westeros, it's that they're seriously lacking perspective. Dany is finally seen as a potential threat in this trailer, though the video then shows that their are other major problems to deal with they're ignoring; namely the Wildlings invading at the Wall.
Tyrion is piiiiissed: "I saved you. I saved this city. I should have let Stannis kill you all."
"Game of Thrones" and all its triumphant glory airs Sundays on HBO at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
