Gary Carter, Hall of Fame catcher, suffering from more brain tumors

gary-carter-baseball.jpgBaseball Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor last May, and it seems that the bad news just keeps on coming. On Thursday (Jan. 19) his daughter, Kimmy Bloemers, announced on her website that his health continues to decline.

"I write these words with tears because I am so sad for my dad," she writes, revealing that he has been suffering from sores in his mouth and took a bad fall, tearing his rotator cuff. More seriously, a new MRI showed that more brain tumors were present.

"There are now several new spots/tumors on my dad's brain," says Kimmy. "Dr. Jimmy Harris will be coming to my parent's house this evening to talk to the family about the next step. I will continue to keep you all updated. Love to everyone and thank you for the prayers."
