gene-simmons-shannon-tweed-wedding.jpgIt's been a long time coming -- close to three decades together, two adult kids, six seasons of a reality show -- but Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed are now husband and wife.

Simmons and Tweed said their "I dos" Saturday (Oct. 1) at a ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The wedding comes just three days before "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" begins its seventh season on A&E, and according to a countdown clock on the show's site, you'll be able to watch the nuptials on Oct. 18.

Simmons and Tweed have been together since the early 1980s, but it wasn't until earlier this year that the 62-year-old KISS demon proposed. He hadn't completely let go of his rock-star lifestyle until not too long ago, and even in a teaser clip for the wedding episodes of "Family Jewels," he only promises to "do my best" to stay faithful.

In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" earlier this week, however, Simmons did acknowledge that "it is time for me to grow up."

"For 28 years I've besmirched Shannon," he says. "And when people say, 'How's your wife?,' I would say, 'Oh, I'm not married.' All that nonsense."

"Man, that got old," Tweed interjects.

You can see the rest of the "ET" piece below. Congrats to the newlyweds -- no matter how long it took.
