George Clooney's President Obama fundraiser under tight security

george-clooney-president-barack-obama.jpgIf you had any designs on crashing George Clooney's fundraiser for President Obama, you might want to save yourself the trouble. Apparently Clooney's Hollywood-area home is locked up tighter than Fort Knox by the U.S. Secret Service, reports TMZ.

In addition to the Secret Service, the Los Angeles Police Department and the California Highway Patrol will be providing backup to keep the President safe at the event. The LAPD will even be employing its special Counter Terrorist Unit.

Clooney has also apparently hired a private security team to oversee his own personal safety. And nearby roads will be closed, bomb-sniffing dogs will be on the premises and plain clothes officers will be amongst the guests.

There is also "air support." Sounds like they've got the bases covered.

The $40,000-a-plate event will be catered by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and roughly 150 people are expected to be in attendance. If there was any place we'd want to be a fly on the wall ...
