George Lopez arrested in Canada casino for public intoxication
The comedian and star of the upcoming FX comedy "Saint George" (How's that for irony?) was arrested for public intoxication following a stand-up performance at Caesars Windsor casino in Canada on Thursday (Feb. 27), TMZ reports.
Law enforcement sources tell the website that casino security alerted police after discovering Lopez passed out on the casino floor. Though officers placed the comedian under arrest, no charges have been filed. He was simply placed in the drunk tank to sober up.
Lopez was released on Friday, set to fulfill his performance obligations that evening.
"Saint George" premieres Thursday, March 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
