George Stephanopoulos reportedly offered 'Good Morning America' anchor job

stephanopoulos-290.jpgWill George Stephanopoulos take over when Diane Sawyer leaves "Good Morning America" later this month? Sources say he's been offered the job.

The Associated Press is reporting that George Stephanopoulos has been offered the co-anchor position being vacated by Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America," though there is no word as to whether or not he will take the position.

This coming just days after Charles Gibson announced Dec. 18 as the official date for his leaving "World News," which is presumably when Diane Sawyer would take over as the anchor on the nightly news show. There has been no word on Sawyer's official "Good Morning America" departure date, but things are obviously moving to find her replacement.

We weren't too far off with Anderson Cooper, now were we? We still think Kristin Chenoweth should've gotten it.
