'Girls' gets lucky with Patrick Wilson and 'Parks and Rec' wants your skills
MTV announced the premiere date of "The Inbetweeners," an adaptation of the popular British comedy: Monday, Aug. 20, at 10:30 p.m. Like "90210" (but not really at all), "Inbetweeners" follows a group of teenagers (a quartet of dudes) transitioning from high school toward adulthood. Joey Pollari, Mark L. Young, Bubba Lewis, Zack Pearlman and Alex Frnka star in the half-hour show, airing after Rob Dyrdek's "Ridiculousness" at 10:00 p.m.
"Detroit 187's" Jon Michael Hill is bringing his Motor City sleuthing skills to Manhattan -- and Sherlock Holmes. The actor is joining "Elementary" as a detective working with the modern-day Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and his reinvented sidekick Watson (Lucy Liu) in CBS' unique take on the classic mystery series, airing Thursdays this fall at 10 p.m [TVLine]
"Parks & Recreation" has the perfect summer craft project for you -- and it doesn't involve Popsicle sticks! The show is calling on fans to design for their Summer T-shirt contest, with the winner to be sold online at the NBC Store! Get the starter kit now at the "P.Rex" website; the deadline for T-shirt submission is July 1 at 11:59 p.m. ET. (Sorry, Pawnee pals: Ron Swanson's "You Had Me At Meat Tornado" design is already taken.)
"General Hospital" star Kirsten Storms took a leave of absence last year for "personal reasons," but she may be heading back to the show! Word is that the former "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century" is in talks to return to her soapy roots. Could the real Maxie be back? [ Soap Opera Digest]
