Girls-Season-2-Lena-Dunham-HBO.jpgHBO has released an official Season 2 trailer for "Girls," and it promises the same delivery of humor, failure, and raunch (wrapped in a perfectly awkward little package) that made the series a favorite in 2012.

The two-minute clip breezes by -- it's an upbeat change in tone from the contemplative ending of the Season 1 finale.

Hannah ( Lena Dunham) is back with a vengeance, goofing up with awful wardrobe choices, plenty of quintessential Hannah-dancing, and smooching random guys. She's doing her best to phase out Adam ( Adam Driver), who apparently achieves stalker status in Season 2 (guess his neuroses aren't limited to his deviant sexual predilections). "My affection for you cannot be repressed," he says to Hannah.

Meanwhile, Shoshanna ( Zosia Mamet) is exuding more confidence -- and more naive self-help one-liners -- after losing her V Card last season. "I may be deflowered," she declares, "But I'm not devalued." Her cousin Jessa ( Jemima Kirke), on the other hand, is busy adjusting to shotgun-married life, and still seems to be completely content with her special brand of bohemian temerity.

Marnie ( Allison Williams) has officially entered quarter-life crisis mode. She'll be doing some soul-searching this season, with a bit of help from her roommate, Elijah ( Andrew Rannells), and her mom, ( Rita Wilson). And hey, sexy artist guy ( Jorma Taccone) is back, and this time it looks like his deadpan come-ons actually coax Marnie into bed.

The trailer features Ellie Goulding's euphoric track "Anything Could Happen," which is perfectly appropriate, considering these four ladies. Season 2 looks like a blast -- is it January 13 yet?
