jason-ritter-girls-s4-gi.jpgSeason 4 of "Girls" has added another familiar face from NBC to its guest cast: Former "Parenthood" actor Jason Ritter.

Ritter will appear in the HBO show's sixth episode next season, playing a character named Scott, TVLine reports. His casting follows that of former "Community" star Gillian Jacobs, who will pop up in episode 5.

No other details of the role are known at the moment. The fact that his character name has been revealed, however, sort of dashes any hopes of a "Parenthood" crossover in which Mark Cyr crosses paths with Hannah (Lena Dunham) at the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where part of Season 4 is set.

"Girls" is set to return to HBO in early 2015.
