GLAAD Award nominees: 'Glee,' Lady Gaga, 'Pretty Little Liars,' 'Happy Endings,' and more

lady-gaga-fan-getty.jpgGLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, has announced the nominees for its 23rd annual Media Awards, honoring "outstanding images of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in news coverage and entertainment media."

The usual suspects received nods -- as if Lady Gaga or "Glee" couldn't be recognized for all their LGBT-friendly work -- but a few surprising nominees were included too. For example, "Conan" was recognized for featuring the first gay wedding on late-night TV, and "The Late Show with David Letterman" got its first nod.

The Awards will be given out at multiple ceremonies, including New York City on March 24, Los Angeles on April 21 and San Francisco on June 2.
