'Glee': Are Kurt and Blaine headed for a breakup?
As the New Directions kids auditioned for "West Side Story," directed by Emma, Coach Bieste, and Artie, it became increasingly clear that Kurt ( Chris Colfer) and Blaine ( Darren Criss) may be in some trouble. It appears that despite being a junior, and despite specifically auditioning for secondary roles, Blaine is the favorite to play the lead, Tony, in the school musical.
Which is great... except that playing the lead in the musical is Kurt's dream, and he sees it as a direct line to his big Broadway aspirations. If Blaine gets the part, are these two done for?
It may not be the musical that does them in, though. TVLine reports that actor Grant Gustin has been cast as Sebastian, a Dalton Academy Warbler who happens to be gay. We know that Blaine is still finding his place in the New Directions family, so could a potential love interest from his Warbler home draw him away from Kurt?
When Colfer told EW that Blaine and Kurt were in it for the long haul, he said, "They really don't have [many] other options do they?" Which doesn't sound like a particularly good reason to stay in a relationship to us. Could this other "option" spell trouble for Klaine? As long as Kurt remains unicorn-like, we're interested to see where this goes. Weigh in below in our comments section.
