'Glee': Carol Burnett reportedly to play Sue Sylvester's mom
Comedy legend Carol Burnett first told Zap2it exclusively back in May that she'd love to guest star on "Glee."
"Oh, I would definitely do it. I'd do whatever they wanted me to, but I'd like to have a few scenes with Jane Lynch. I love her," six-time Emmy winner Burnett told us.
And now it appears Burnett's gotten her wish and will be playing Sue's mother this fall, according to an EW report.
We're kind of digging the resemblance, and having a comedy legend drop by can't hurt.
There's not much known about Mama Sylvester. It had been assumed she was dead, but if that's true then maybe she'll only appear in flashbacks. If she's indeed alive, we have a few questions that need to be answered:
1) Why isn't she around to help out Jean Sylvester?
2) Did she really hunt Nazis? Sue made a reference to this in Season 1.
Burnett will supposedly appear in an October or November episode.
Reps for the show have not yet confirmed the casting.
