'Glee': Idina Menzel has 'Vocal Adrenaline'
Menzel isn't playing mom to Lea Michele's Rachel Berry like we were all hoping. Instead, she's the director of competitor show choir Vocal Adrenaline, says The Hollywood Reporter. We'll take it!
And it's not a one-off guest stint either -- Menzel has signed on for the remaining nine episodes, airing this spring on FOX starting in April. Woo hoo!
We are pumped. Menzel won a Tony for her role of Elphaba in "Wicked" on Broadway, which coincidentally also starred fellow "Glee" guest Kristin Chenoweth. For their next trick, we'd like the "Glee" writers to manufacture a reason for the two of them to sing together. It doesn't have to be a "Wicked" song. We'll take anything. Make it happen, Ryan Murphy!
"Glee" wraps the first half of season one Wednesday night on FOX with "Sectionals."
