'Glee': Jane Lynch 'honored' by wax Sue Sylvester
Jane Lynch is thrilled with the new wax figure of her "Glee" alter ego that was debuted at Hollywood's Madame Tussauds Wax Museum Wednesday morning (Aug. 4), but in true Sue Sylvester fashion, has a wry comment ready.
"I was very, very honored ... at least I was until I saw they did Kim Kardashian," she jokes with Zap2it in July.
At the actual unveiling, however, she reacts with genuine shock at the resemblance.
"Holy crap. Unbelievable," she says in front of a crowd of screaming fans. "This is too much. This is too weird. I feel like I'm seeing myself in a coffin or something. Thank you so much!"
The wax museum had initially approached Lynch to make the figure. The character of Sue Sylvester, a prickly, competitive and sardonic cheerleader coach at the fictional William McKinley High, has become a cultural icon.
Lynch's new wife Dr. Lara Embry was also present at the unveiling ceremony.
Take a look at the close-up. We think they did a great job with the skin tone and subtle fine lines.
Is this Sue Sylvester enough for you?
