'Glee': Kathy Griffin and Loretta Devine to guest star

kathy-loretta.jpgRegionals is about to get a whole lot meaner.

"Glee" has recruited "My Life on the D-List's" Kathy Griffin and "Grey's Anatomy's" Loretta Devine to guest star as two of the judges for the regional competition, TV Line reports. The third judge has yet to be announced. We sure wouldn't mind another Josh Groban appearance though.

Griffin will play home-schooling Tea Party candidate Tammy Jean (Think Sarah Palin -esque) while Devine is playing former stripper Sister Mary Constance. Griffin is obviously excited about her new guest-starring gig -- she tweeted "So excited!! It's true!!" on Friday, Feb. 18.

In a recent episode, the glee kids learned that they will be judged on how they interpret the "anthem" theme at Regionals. What anthem could possibly sway a home-schoolin' Palin type and a stripper-turned-nun to vote in their favor? Yeah, we're stumped.

What do you think of the casting news, Zappers? Do Griffin and Devine beat out Groban and Olivia Newton-John from last year's Regionals?
