"Glee" could only contain the meteoric ambitions of Lea Michele for long.

E! Online reports the actress is in talks for her first film role, in the sequel to Garry Marshall's ensemble rom-com "Valentine's Day," "New Year's Eve."

This is all hearsay, of course, since New Line has yet to even greenlight the project, but Marshall is reportedly gunning pretty hard to land Michele in a starring role.

As far as a possible romantic pairing, the film is apparently trying to get Zac Efron on board as well, after unsuccessfully wooing him for the first project.

"Valentine's Day" grossed more than $110 million in domestic box office.
