'Glee': Matthew Morrison releasing album

matthew-morrison-glee-320.jpg "Glee" fans will have more to sing about come fall -- Matthew Morrison will release an album.

There is no word yet on exactly the type of music Morrison plans to record, but he has inked a recording contract with Mercury Records and will release an album in fall 2010.

Will Morrison have to start clearing off mantle space for Grammys as well as Golden Globes? That's probably a stretch but one never knows. Morrison is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor, TV Comedy/Musical for his work on "Glee" and at least one person at the Zap2it offices thinks he will win.

Morrison previously flexed the golden pipes on Broadway in "Hairspray" and "The Light in the Piazza."

What do you think, Gleeks? Will you buy Mr. Schuester's CD?
