'Glee,' please call 'Torchwood's' John Barrowman back about his guest role!
We've loved John Barrowman for years as Captain Jack Harkness on BBC's "Dr. Who" and "Torchwood" series. And his role as the big bad Patrick Logan in "Desperate Housewives" this past season was uh-mazing. He's hilarious, sings and dances plus he's just all around awesome. So why hasn't "Glee" called him back after he met with the producers?
"I went into 'Glee,'" Barrowman tells Scotland's STV. "Met with them and said I would be interested in being in the show. They said they had followed my career, they know what I've done, they love what I do."
Yet, with all the faux guest star announcements ( Katie Holmes, Snoop Dogg) and the only actual one ( Javier Bardem, who we love, but we don't believe his name popped up naturally in the writers' room. Just sayin'), Barrowman is a no-brainer. So, why hasn't "Glee" called him?
"The ball is in their court now," says Barrowman. "Whether it happens or not that's another story. I don't sit around and wait, so I've got to go ahead with other things. But the fact is that I made the move to let them know I'm interested, so who knows? I would love to be on that show."
And we would love to have you on it, John! "Glee," tick tock.
