blake-jenner-melissa-benoist-kickstarter-billy-boy.jpgCalling all Gleeks: a few of the McKinley High New Directions members need your help. "Glee" star (and "The Glee Project" winner) Blake Jenner has written a feature film, and he and his fiance/"Glee" costar Melissa Benoist need some assistance to get it off the ground. The couple has turned to Kickstarter to help fund the movie, and they're more than halfway to their goal.

The campaign, which ends on Wednesday, Dec. 11, has raised more than $62,000 for "Billy Boy," about a troubled 18-year-old high schooler (Jenner) who meets a waitress (Benoist) after a night of partying. She inspires him to change his life and live up to his potential.

The movie is already partially funded, but Jenner and Benoist are seeking $100,000 to help cover the rest of their expenses. They hope to start shooting in late May or early June of 2014 so they can finish the movie in time to submit it to 2015 film festivals.

The Kickstarter perks are plentiful: depending on how much money you contribute, you can get anything from exclusive backer updates and a thank you on their tumblr to a private concert from Jenner and Benoist in your living room.
