'Glee's Dot-Marie Jones engaged, proposes to girlfriend Bridgett Casteen at Disneyland
That seems fitting. After all, if you're going to propose, why not do it at the Happiest Place on Earth?
"It's the happiest day of my life," Jones told The Advocate on Friday (Oct. 4). "I never thought I'd find somebody that is so loving and kind."
Not coincidentally, Jones' proposal after three years of dating Casteen came during Anaheim Gay Days, an annual event that brings LGBT visitors to the city's popular theme parks. The actress announced her engagement during a Q&A panel with the event's founder, Eddie Shapiro.
Jones is best known for her portrayal of Coach Shannon Beiste on "Glee," a role for which she has been nominated for three Emmy awards. An actress for the past two decades, Jones has also appeared in "Hawthorne," "Nip/Tuck," "Lizzie McGuire" and "Married with Children."
