Get ready fan fiction writers, this is the sort of real-life pairing you've been waiting for. What if "Glee" characters Rachel and Will dated?
Though they didn't (and hopefully never will), the people who play them definitely did. That's right, Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison were an item at one point. Michele makes that revelation in her new book "Brunette Ambition," which Us Weekly got a peek at.
"When we shot the pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, and Chris Colfer for the first time," she writes. "I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before. Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact we'd actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat."
Who knows exactly what a "Broadway beat" is, but it doesn't sound very long. There had been rumors in the past about the pair secretly being an item in the early days of the show, but it was always something they laughed off and dismissed.
Michele did have a very public relationship with another one of her "Glee" costars: Cory Monteith. He played her onscreen boyfriend Finn, and the pair dated in real life for two years. He passed away from a drug and alcohol overdose on July 13, 2013.
