'Glee's' Max Adler gets a 'Last Resort,' Victor Garber is 'Notorious'

"Alias" and "Titanic" star Victor Garber has been cast in NBC's drama "Notorious," the Linz Heldens-penned pilot about a female detective who goes undercover in the wealthy family in which she grew up as a maid's a daughter, looking to solve the murder of the heiress who was once her close friend. Garber will play the patriarch of the family. [ Deadline]

Nat Faxon, who just took home an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplan for "The Descendants," has been cast in a FOX comedy pilot called "Ned Fox is My Manny." Faxon will play the titular character, a man who helps his sister Kate raise her baby. [ Hollywood Reporter]

And a quartet of relative unknowns have all booked pilots: Victor Rasuk ("How to Make It in America") has been cast in FOX's "El Jefe"; Erin Daniels ("The L Word") has booked Bill Lawrence's FOX pilot "Like Father"; Nico Tortorella ("Scream 4") has been cast in the as-of-yet untitled Kevin Williamson drama for FOX starring Kevin Bacon as an ex-FBI agent chasing a serial killer; and Tymberlee Hill ("Grey's Anatomy") has been cast in NBC's comedy pilot "Lady Friends," also starring Andrea Anders and "Cougar Town's" Josh Hopkins.
