'Gossip Girl': Blake Lively channels her inner Marilyn Monroe [Updated]

blake-lively-gossip-girl-s5.jpg UPDATE 7:30 p.m. ET: So it turns out producers definitely didn't want us to see the video. "Gossip Girl" producer Warner Bros. TV has asked us to remove the video referred to below, saying it was stolen and posted online without permission.

The original post (sans video) is below.

So many people are channeling their inner Marilyn Monroe these days. Michelle Williams is doing it in a film and Lindsay Lohan is doing it for Playboy. So it was just a matter of time until the iconic actress got her turn on TV. And for this we can thank " Gossip Girl."

In a video producers probably don't want you to see yet, Blake Lively re-enacts the famed "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" scene from the 1953 film " Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." Dancing alongside Lively are her co-stars, Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley, Hugo Becker and Ed Westwick (looking like he's suffered no ill effects from the car crash).

The video is semi-narrated by Crawford who seems to be getting a kick out the whole thing. In a surprise ending, Leighton Meester appears dressed as Audrey Hepburn (circa " Breakfast at Tiffany's" and she drags Badgley away. Perhaps this is a foretelling of a future romance between the two?
