'Gossip Girl' mom Kelly Rutherford gets a restraining order
The 40-year-old actress has obtained a temporary restraining order Thursday against Daniel Giersch, reports People.
According to Los Angeles Superior Court records, Rutherford says that the German businessman "has begun to follow me, my mother and my nanny and he shows up unexpectedly to threaten and scare us."
Nanny Michaela Kothanova claims she quit because she was so freaked out by Giersch's unnerving attitude during custody exchanges and was even threatened with possible legal action when she refused to answer his questions about her employer. In addition, Ann Edwards, Rutherford's mom, reports instances when Giersch followed her and his son, 2-year-old Hermes, to restaurants and a store without prior arrangement.
Giersch's attorney denies the allegations.
Rutherford even claims that the stress her ex has caused is affecting her breastfeeding, says TMZ.
"I am not producing enough breast milk to store up quantities that can be given to Daniel for feeding Helena," she claims in the document. "I believe that the stress Daniel has created for me is also negatively impacting my ability to produce milk."
The restraining order is in effect for 21 days pending a court date to hear more the evidence.
Rutherford and Giersch married in August 2006 and had their son Hermes. By the time she was pregnant with their second child, daughter Helena who was born in June, Rutherford had filed for divorce. The couple has been engaged in a custody battle for a while now. An Oct. 15 hearing date has been set.
Rutherford currently plays Lily van Der Woodsen, mother to Serena (Blake Lively) and Eric (Connor Paolo), on "Gossip Girl."
