'Gossip Girl' spoilers: Blair and Serena's girl fight in Paris, Little J still M.I.A.
"Gossip Girl" stars Leighton Meester and Blake Lively are currently shooting the Season 4 premiere in Paris, France -- after all, if they can show New York City in all her authentic glory, the "Gossip Girl" powers that be had better give Paris the same respect. Even in Paris, the production can't escape the watchful eye of the ever-present public.
The CW starlets were caught filming a nighttime scene in which Blair and Serena have one of their famous catfights. Remind us -- why are these two friends? Their summer vacation in Gay Paree seemed to be going swimmingly, until Blair decided Serena was due for a swim. Yes, in a scene shot at a gorgeous French fountain, the on-again, off-again BFFs get into such a battle that Blair shoves Serena straight into the fountain.
The real tragedy is that Serena's sparkly Chanel jacket goes with her.
Word is that though the Paris vacay starts off well, an appearance by Chuck ( Ed Westwick) -- who, after being shot in Prague over the engagement ring he bought for Blair, is going by a new name and kissing a new girl -- throws a wrench into the works. Westwick hasn't yet filmed in Paris.
As for who won't be in the Monday, Sept 13 premiere: Little Jenny Humphrey will be "living with her mom" off-screen while Taylor Momsen and her band, the Pretty Reckless, finish their Vans Warped Tour run. Recently, Momsen expressed her disdain for another teen who has enjoyed considerable TV-music crossover success.
"I'm not looking to be Miley f***ing Cyrus," Momsen tells FHM. "I'm not dissing Miley personally. However, I do think the Disney bubblegum s*** that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression. I don't know Miley, but musically we're different. To compare us because of our age is silly. People will be surprised by the record. I mean, it's a rock record. I get that there is this blonde thing from Gossip Girl and they're expecting pop s***, but it's a rock band and its heavy. Our record is a life record. It confronts everything head on. It's death, love, drugs, sex, religion, politics."
Oh, Taylor. You don't need to sing about death and drugs and sex. We know you're edgy. We can tell by your eyeliner and the way you refuse to wear pants.
