Paul James just graduated from dealing with fraternity politics to hospital politics.

The "Greek" alum has just joined "Grey's Anatomy," TVLine reports.

James, best known for playing the openly gay Omega Chi president on the ABC Family college drama, landed a potentially recurring role for Season 10 of the ABC medical drama. His "Grey's" character arrives at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital to assist with research.

James' casting comes hot on the news of recent contract renewals by Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey. The two original cast members just signed new deals to star on "Grey's Anatomy" for two more seasons, though ABC has yet to renew the series past its current 10th season.

There is still no word yet on which remaining original cast members will depart with Sandra Oh after Season 10, or who will stay on with Pompeo and Dempsey.
