There's no way around the fact that the "Grey's Anatomy" music event airing on Thursday (March 31) on ABC is going to be a tough one for fans.

"The last episode ended in a very big way with Arizona asking Callie to marry her while they're in a car," creator Shonda Rhimes, who also wrote this episode,  tells ET. "And then in the very last moment is a car crash and we pick up after the impact of that crash."

Subsequently, Callie ( Sara Ramirez) gets horribly injured in the accident when she flies through the windshield. "There's a lot at stake in this episode," Rhimes says. "Callie, there's a lot of injuries that are sustained."

Also, listen to two full songs from the episode posted by RyanSeacrest.com:

Brandi Carlile's "The Story" performed by Ramirez, below.

Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" performed by Ramirez, Chandra Wilson (who plays Miranda), and Kevin McKidd (Owen), below.

Intense, right? Do you think the show would kill Callie?
