'Grey's Anatomy': What did you think of Isaiah Washington's return as Burke?

greys-anatomy-burke-is-back-poll.jpg Isaiah Washington made his return to "Grey's Anatomy" Thursday (May 1) as Dr. Preston Burke, seven years after his controversial exit from the ABC medical drama. Read Zap2it's recap of what his return means for Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang here.

It's great to see that Burke's reunion with Cristina wasn't for anything as frivolous as romance, since that wouldn't have been true to these characters we know so well. In the seven years since Burke left Cristina at the altar, both of them have changed and grown so much individually (and as a family, in Burke's case) that a relationship would have felt like a giant step back for them.

Plus, it feels right that Cristina would only leave Grey Sloan Memorial for her career, because everyone knows that her work is the most important thing in her life. She would do anything to get ahead, even if that meant leaving her friends and Owen behind for Zurich.

But enough about how we felt about Burke's return episode. What did you think of Washington's return to "Grey's Anatomy?" Vote in our poll below:
