Gwen Stefani donates $1 million to Japan relief

gwen-stefani-getty.jpgWednesday (March 23), No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani donated $1 million to Save the Children's Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund, which is helping with the recovery efforts.

She tells US Weekly in a statement, "I've been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture. The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking, and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years."

She is also making it possible for her fans to get in on the donation, as next week Gwen's fashion line L.A.M.B. (Love. Angel. Music. Baby.) will debut a limited edition Harajuku Lovers t-shirt at the band's website. All proceeds from sales will go towards relief efforts.

You can also donate at the Save the Children website. Well done, Gwen. How generous.
