'Happy Endings' hires Rob Corddry, 'New Girl' finds Winston's sister and more casting news

rob-corddry-gi.jpgFormer "Daily Show" correspondent-turned-"Children's Hospital" star Rob Corddry will branch out for a recurring role on "Happy Endings" Season 3. The actor will guest star for at least two episodes as Chicago's "Car Czar" and Jane's new boss.

According to TVLine, Jane meets Corddry's character when she tags along with Penny to help her pal buy a new car. (She's definitely a person you want on your side during a negotiation, that's for sure.) Corddry is the owner of the dealership, and hires her as a salesperson when she impresses him with her knowledge of cars.

In other casting news:

- Winston's mom isn't the only member of the Bishop clan to make an appearance during the upcoming second season of "New Girl" -- we'll meet his Schmidt-hating sister, too. Played by "America's Next Top Model" alum Keenyah Hill, Alisha is a professional basketball player who spurns Schmdit's romantic advances during episode 2 by kicking his butt in a one-on-one pickup game. - Another "Secret Circle" witch has found a new home. Jessica Parker Kennedy is heading to "90210" and Phoebe Tonkin is moving to Mystic Falls, but Shelley Hennig is now recurring on MTV's new scripted series "Zach Stone is Going to Be Famous." She originally guest-starred in the pilot, but now the gig is a little more regular as she'll appear throughout the season. [ Deadline]

- It's not too early for midseason news, especially when it involves "House" and "Breaking In" alum Odette Annable. The actress has booked a recurring gig in the CBS cop drama "Golden Boy." She'll play ADA Kat O'Connor on the new show. [ Deadline]
