Exciting news on the "Star Wars" front. While it's not a definite confirmation, it's about as good as you can expect from Han Solo himself, Harrison Ford. While attending a red carpet event in Chicago, Il., Ford was asked by WGN about returning for "Star Wars: Episode VII."
"I'm looking forward to it," he says, "It's not in the bag yet, but I think it's happening." With that, Ford becomes the last of the three leads to make it sound like a return to the "Star Wars" universe is a definite possibility. Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, told Entertainment Tonight back in February that while the deals were not in place, there were ongoing discussions.
Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher was a bit more direct when asked if she would return to the franchise, giving Palm Beach Illustrated a simple "Yes," before joking that Leia would be living in an "intergalactic old folks' home" at this point in her life.
"Star Wars: Episode VII" is being written my Michael Arndt, with J.J. Abrams signed on to direct. It's currently scheduled to be in theaters in 2015.
