Rough night for One Direction singer Harry Styles. The pop star was awarded the title "Villain of the Year" during the 2013 NME Awards in London. The annual show from NME (New Musical Express) magazine hands out music awards.

Though they aren't clear on why Styles was named the year's biggest villain, his group, One Direction, was also named "Worst Band." Ouch. That might even hurt worse than when he was  hit in the crotch with a shoe, recently.

Styles doesn't seem too concerned with award, though. He tweeted a thanks to the magazine, adding, "Gotta take the rough with the smooth eh?" He wasn't there to accept either of the awards, as One Direction is on tour. Styles has been in the news a lot over the last year. While his band was climbing the charts, he was entering a relationship with singer Taylor Swift. Of course, that didn't work out. Swift seemingly took a dig at Styles, using a fake British accent during her Grammy Awards performance, but Styles being the gentleman, let it roll right off his back.
