Directioners, please calm down and take a deep breath. Harry Styles is not leaving One Direction for a solo career (yet), despite reports to the contrary. The Mirror, a UK tabloid, quoted a friend of Harry's who says the 1D star has been ditching the other four guys in the group -- Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Liam Payne to work on his own songs in Hollywood.
But a rep for the band says no way. "Harry is not recording solo material. All of the band are working on tracks for their third album," the spokesperson tells the Daily Mail. "Harry is putting together some ideas for the record. The boys sometimes work up ideas separately as well as working together, as they did last year." The flak points out Niall also collaborated on new tracks with Tom and Dougie from McFly.
Harry and his 1D homies are currently playing concerts on their worldwide "Take Me Home" tour, which hits the U.S. in June. While some who play favorites might disagree, most would say Harry is the superstar of One Direction. And there's no doubt these young guys will go their own ways at some point. But for now, One Direction is sticking together and Harry is still an equal member of the group. And the Directioners rejoice.
