hawaii-five-0-fan-episode.jpgAfter letting fans pick the ending of an episode last season, "Hawaii Five-0" is going bigger by letting viewers essentially construct an entire episode.

CBS and the show's producers are letting fans vote on key story elements of an upcoming episode, ranging from the scene of the crime to the murder weapon to the location of the takedown. Fans can go here to vote on the plot points through Oct. 31. As of this post, a setup of a macadamia nut tycoon killed with a spear gun at Chin Ho's ( Daniel Dae Kim) high school reunion was in the lead.

Once the plot points are decided on, fans will also have a chance to weigh in on props and wardrobe, music and even the episode's title.

"Viewers loved helping figure out the 'whodunit' episode last season," "Five-0" showrunner Peter Lenkov says. "Now, we want to up the ante by having viewers' input on the production of a show. .. And yes, this is fun for me when I get to see just how creative our writers can be when the key elements are chosen."

The final phase of voting on the episode is scheduled for March, so expect the viewer-built episode to air late in the 2013-14 season.
